People often ask how long it will take them to learn to skate. It's the toughest question to answer because it depends on your natural ability, how much skating practice you put in and how often, the weather, whether you use an instructor or not, and about a million other factors. What I can say is that you'll learn faster with private lessons than group courses because you get more attention from the instructor.
One-on-one coaching is by far the best way to tackle problems you might have with your skating. Whether it's nerves or you're really struggling with just one skill, a private lesson with a inline skating instructor is a great way to conquer your demons.
Unlike group courses, a private lesson puts you in control of what you learn and ensures you get the instructor's full attention. Go from absolute beginner, terrified of standing up on your skates, through to being able to do advanced maneuvers, all at your own pace.
Whether you want to learn on your own or with a few of your closest friends, private lessons are the ideal way to move your inline skating techniques forward.
Although private lessons are a great way to improve your skating they can appear to be an expensive way to learn. Whilst they are great value-for-money, I offer a discount if you book 2 hours worth of lessons within 7 days, whether that's a single 2 hour session or two 1 hour lessons on separate days.
Other discounts can be arranged for special situations so please contact me for full details.
This is the website of Matthew Denner, a UK based inline skating instructor. If you're looking to start skating, or improve your current skills, you should take a look around to see what I have to offer.
I try to make my courses goal oriented, whether that is being part of the larger street skating community, or just getting a number of skills that combine well together. I cater for all skill levels, from complete beginner through to competent skaters. When teaching private lessons I treat you as an individual, catering for your abilities and learning rate. And with those courses and lessons my students get their own students area page with access to notes, tips and drills.
For information on the lessons and courses I teach, or advice on skating in general, please feel free to use the contact form.
My service provider moved access to my website and I didn't get informed, hence the massive gap in updates to this site.
