rollerbladelessons.co.uk is the website for Matthew Denner, a UK based ICP qualified inline skating instructor.
My passion for skating started on my first day on skates, back in June 2006: I started skating to get fit but was completely hooked on it from the very first day. Since then I've grown into an experienced street skater and became an ICP qualified instructor in November 2007.
I teach private lessons and group courses in both London and Brighton, where I live. My lessons in London take place at The Royal Albert Memorial in Kensington Gardens, which is a safe but diverse environment in which to learn. When I teach in Brighton I can be found either down by the West Pier or by Hove Lawns.
The most rewarding aspect of being an inline skating instructor is taking someone from having never skated before, where they are nervous about just standing up, and then seeing them on, or in the photographs for, one of the street skates. I'm passionate about people learning to skate because of the health and mental benefits I get from the experience of skating.
If I'm not teaching you'll find me hanging round Hyde Park or on one of the organised street skates, like the London Friday Night Skate & Sunday Stroll. If you see me, come over, say hello, and find out a little bit more about me and my teaching.
Where to find me
Here's a Google Map showing where I can be found when I'm teaching in London (the light blue marker on the map), along with some points of skating interest in the surrounding area.
