If you haven't heard of it Twitter is an online service that allows you to post short messages, limited to 140 characters much like SMS. If you're on Facebook you can kind of think of Twitter as your status, except that people use it for much more.
Jumping on the bandwagon I've created a Twitter account: @mattdenner. At the moment I'm trying it out so this is a mixture of personal and business posts, but I like the concept. I'll be tweeting (that's what they call posts to Twitter) various things, photos, and videos (some of which will be through Qik, so they might be live!)
Tweets are searchable, especially if you use a 'hashtag'. I'm going to tweeting with the following hashtags, you're welcome to use them too:
So, a skate tip might be:
#skate #tip: keep your skates upright when skating wet surfaces
Typically I'll also be including a link to a page with more information.
I've found some other users on Twitter that are skate related:
If you're a Twitter user and have found others I'd love to know. If you follow my tweets, I'll follow you, especially if your posting stuff on inline skating.
This is the website of Matthew Denner, a UK based inline skating instructor. If you're looking to start skating, or improve your current skills, you should take a look around to see what I have to offer.
I try to make my courses goal oriented, whether that is being part of the larger street skating community, or just getting a number of skills that combine well together. I cater for all skill levels, from complete beginner through to competent skaters. When teaching private lessons I treat you as an individual, catering for your abilities and learning rate. And with those courses and lessons my students get their own students area page with access to notes, tips and drills.
For information on the lessons and courses I teach, or advice on skating in general, please feel free to use the contact form.
My service provider moved access to my website and I didn't get informed, hence the massive gap in updates to this site.
