I'm extremely pleased that two of my students, Margarida and Paul, completed their first Sunday Stroll. The route, Mini Best of London, was designed to be a gentle introduction for new street skaters but that shouldn't detract from the achievement these two have made.
Margarida sent me this email morning:
I just want to say thank you. This has been an interesting learning journey you enabled me to go from a complete beginner (not be able to stand up in my inline skates (end of May)... if you do remember!) to complete my first Sunday Stroll last 27 Jul 2008.
Your patience in lessons has enabled me to finish the Sunday Stroll with confidence on my inline skating skills ... Matt, thank you so much for being such an excellent teacher. I really appreciated your patience and additional bits of useful information. I have thoroughly enjoyed your inline skating lessons and Sunday Stroll Course and I am looking forward to start the Street Skater course.
Now that both of us Paul and me have the skating bug we really want to try Paris, maybe next year!? Please find an attached picture from our first Sunday Stroll – Paul and Margarida.
Having both attended my Sunday Stroll course it's nice to know that they have done so well. I hope that all of my students get this sense of achievement and develop the same passion I have for skating.
